One of the most popular areas of surgery for men is butt augmentation, using buttock implants. Implants can transform the buttock area to a fuller, round and more pronounced shape, while providing a better fit in clothing.
For patients with flat buttocks that don’t respond to endless squats in the gym, a butt augmentation provides a solution that gives men a natural looking, rounder shape that they are looking for. Butt implant surgery uses soft, silicone implants placed beneath the muscle tissue of the buttocks in order to create fuller, yet completely natural looking buttocks. Following surgery, patients experience a much improved body contour of the buttocks that fit well into jeans, sportswear, shorts and suits.
For men who are unhappy with the shape of their buttocks, and find that fitting into clothing is a struggle, butt implants provide a viable solution. Rounder and fuller buttocks fill out clothing better, and provide a boost in self-confidence. Most importantly, the surgery will leave your buttocks looking completely natural.
The best way to determine if you are a good candidate for male buttock implant surgery is to schedule a consultation with Dr. Jugenburg. During the consultation, you can tour our state-of-the-art facility located in the beautiful Fairmont Royal York Hotel, and meet with our caring staff that will be part of your team.
Based on a review of your medical condition, you may be required to stop taking certain medications prior to your surgery. It is also extremely important that you stop smoking at least 2 weeks before surgery as the act of smoking thins out the blood and will increase the risk of complications.
The procedure is performed under general anesthesia. Dr. Jugenburg will make an incision in the crease between the buttocks and insert the soft, silicone implants under the gluteal muscles. The tissues will then be stitched back together and a compression garment will be placed to help reduce swelling. A drain may be placed to prevent fluid buildup. The entire procedure takes from 2-4 hours.
Men recovering from buttock implant surgery should lay on their stomach as much as possible for two weeks following surgery. There will be swelling and discomfort, which will be managed by the pain medicine prescribed by Dr. Jugenburg. You may return to work in about 2 weeks, but you should refrain from any vigorous exercise or activity for 6 weeks following surgery.
Final results will be visible in about 3 months following the procedure.
In order to minimize scarring, Dr. Jugenburg places the incision in the crease of the buttocks. The scar will be completely inconspicuous, and will not be visible in underwear or swimwear.
As with all cosmetic surgery, there are some risks involved. Risks associated with male buttock implants include excessive bleeding, infection, swelling, scar irregularities and blood clots, but they are rare. The most important complication we wish to avoid is infection and wounds breaking open during the first two weeks after the surgery. If this happens, you may loose the implants. Our operating suite is state-of-the-art, and we do everything we can to minimize the risks associated with surgery. Most importantly, Dr. Jugenburg and his team have various protocols in place to prevent complications from occurring
