In 1927 The Canadian Pacific Railway in Toronto began the construction of the largest hotel in the British Commonwealth, immediately across from Union Station and Canadian Pacific Railway.
On June 11, 1929, the hotel officially opened as The Royal York in Toronto. It was the tallest building in the British Commonwealth and it quickly set the benchmark for hospitality around the world. The magnificent Royal York Hotel became known as a city within a city. It was 28 floors tall, full of architectural splendor and equipped with mechanical genius and opulence never before seen in Toronto. It boasted 1,048 rooms, a 12-bed hospital, 12,000-book library and ten ornate passenger elevators.

VIEW HOTEL LOCATIONFollowing your surgery you will be taken to your room by one of our aids where you will be able to recover in a soft luxurious bed. Full Room Service is available to you should you need it. If you have any medical issues, our staff can easily visit you in your room to ensure that you are recovering well. The following morning you will then come down to the clinic for a check up, then be cleared to go home.
The Fitness Centre is located on level H and offers free weights, exercise equipment, and a swimming pool to all Hotel guests.
The Royal York Hotel has Reign and Clockwork Restaurant within its premises. If you are considering something simpler, Piper’s Gastropub is open at night, and York’s Deli is there for your morning snacks. Just outside the Hotel is Starbucks, Tim Horton’s and Second Cup. And of course, being located in Downtown Toronto, you have access to a rich selection of restaurants, bars, and entertainment venues.

Located inside the Hotel, we have built a modern, state of the art surgery centre that has been inspected and approved by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario to operate as a stand-alone surgical facility. Our safety protocols, equipment, and facilities have been designed to ensure your safety. No shortcuts have been taken.
A fully functional Operating Room inside the Royal York Hotel. Anesthesia is provided by a board certified Anesthesiologist who is present in the room throughout the duration of every procedure. Our nurses are fully trained and have all their certifications up to date. We choose only the best to look after you.
The Operating Room is spacious and fully equipped to handle the most complex cosmetic surgery procedures
Our recovery room meets hospital standards and is staffed by a highly experienced recovery room nurse. All staff working at our facility must have passed their ACLS certification. After you are fully awake, you will be transferred from this recovery area to your luxurious hotel room for an overnight stay.
